These speakers are a low power consumption gaming accessory to have. They are also hardened with built-in high-efficiency D class digital amplifiers, which is a bonus, and with that, you can bet an effortless output total 200W RMS.

On the other hand, the Logitech Z623 Speaker System also doesn’t disappoint! They may look unsuspecting and kind of an underdog, but Logitech’s Z623 delivers 200 watts (RMS) of power in a THX-Certified system for big, bold gaming or audio streaming experience.

The Edifier M3600D and the Logitech Z623 are one of the best speakers that were made for home and gaming usage. Whether you are gaming or watching a movie, the Edifier M3600d and Logitech Z623 are a perfect match for your exhilarating audio experience and the best sound quality.

Edifier M3600D

When you think of versatility, think of the Edifier 3600D speakers. Whether you want to play your games or simply want to grab some popcorn and watch your favorite movie, the Edifier M3600D will always deliver quality sound with clarity and a seamless way without clutter.

There are so many reasons to love these speakers. They come with an advanced digital audio technology, a D class digital amplifier, which is said to output the total power of 200W RMS. Also, you can take advantage of low power consumption.

On top of that, they have a 2.1 surround system that features an 8-inch subwoofer producing an output of 130 Watts. In terms of the build material, these M3600D speakers have an MDF satellite, which makes a stable speaker.
What’s more, you will have a stress-free installation. The come with a highly-detailed user manual, which makes the installation incredibly easy.

The Edifier speaker set comes with an exquisite design. Let’s look at each of the components one by one.
Right satellite speaker.
The right speaker is considered to be an active speaker. It has a knob that allows you to either increase/decrease the volume. When you press this knob, it switches you to a different mode or input.
While the right speaker has the volume adjustment, it doesn’t feature the bass adjustment. This is only found on the right side of the subwoofer itself.
Left satellite speaker.
Measuring at 8 inches, the right speaker doesn’t have any customizable controls. It features a thin cloth that covers the driver. In this way, the speaker driver is protected from being touched or poked.

The speaker interface (audio inputs)

You have a speaker interface that is found on the rear end of the subwoofer. This part contains the ports, which you can utilize to connect in your left and right satellite speakers.

As a tip, you should connect the cables from the two satellite speakers to the subwoofer, instead of connecting one satellite speaker to the other (left to right or vice versa). The subwoofer speaker is protected with a metal grill, which makes a very durable piece.

On the side of the subwoofer, you have a coaxial input, an optical input as well as multiple auxiliary inputs.
Speaking of connectivity, however, this speaker does not offer a wireless Bluetooth feature, so everything uses a wired connection. This side of the subwoofer contains the control panel on which you will find the bass adjustment knob.

Lastly, you have a porthole on the right of the subwoofer. This gives you a firm grip, hence making it easy to carry it around.

The Edifier speakers have a THX Certified 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System, which is geared towards giving you a more balanced sound.

But, you will still have some issues with the clarity of these speakers- since a small speaker usually obviously means a small driver to produce the sound.
That being said, the frequencies (highs, mids and lows) are restricted to a certain extent, so at some volumes, you may not be able to hear some musical instruments.

This speaker is somehow similar to the Edifier S350B model, particularly the sound projection technology. Instead of being held back, the music feels like it is projected in your direction.
With that said, these are directional speakers, so you will probably need to set them up so they should be facing you in order to get the best from them.

Plus, they are already tilted to about 10 degrees, which goes a long way to ensure that every sound reaches your ear.
Unlike most speakers, these speakers do not come with customizable knobs for your bass, so you will have the task of getting under your desk or pulling your satellite speaker out just to adjust your bass settings. Also, you don’t have a remote control.

Another downfall comes from the fact that you are not provided with a Toslink optical audio cable.
If you aren’t familiar with it, this is the cable that connects your audio source to the subwoofers optical input.

Although this cable may be considered as an optional piece to use, it is a very important cable as it will turn this speaker set into a versatile sound machine for the whole family to enjoy. After all, the best family speakers are the ones that come with several connectivity features.

This means you will have to spend more time and money to purchase that cable, which is very inconvenient.

What’s in the box?

In the packaging, you have two stereo-enhanced speakers and a powerful subwoofer. Also you have the 3.5 mm RCA input cable which connects your speakers to your phone or computer. This cable measures at 1.7 meters in length.

Logitech Z623

On the other hand, we have the Logitech Z623 model. This speaker is known to be the best gaming speaker for professional gamers, particularly PC gamers. Also, its enhanced audio features make it an excellent choice for music and movies.

At a price such a low cost, this speaker comes at an incredibly more economical price, which makes it an ideal choice for gamers on a slimmer budget.

In speakers, sensitivity measures the speaker’s ability to convert power to volume. Lower sensitivity speakers require more power from the amplifier to achieve higher volumes.

With this theory, speakers that have a higher sensitivity will require less power from the amplifier. In this case, the Edifier has a sensitivity of 84dB while the Logitech Z623 has a higher sensitivity of 89 dB.

As we can see, both of these speakers have the same 2.1 surround Multimedia system type and the same power characteristics. Nonetheless, the Edifier M3600D comes with more input options as compared to the Logitech Z623 speaker system.
